COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE:

THURLES PARISH SUMMER MASS TIMES: (from July 10th/11th 2021)

WEEKEND MASSES:

CATHEDRAL: SATURDAY:     VIGIL MASS: 7.00 p.m..   SUNDAY:          9.00 A.M., 11.00 a.m. & 7.00 p.m.

BÓTHAR NA NAOMH CHURCH: SUNDAY 10.00 a.m.. 

Due to the increased numbers in attendance at our Sunday morning Masses, please note the 9.00 a.m. Mass, has been moved from Bóthar na Naomh Church to the Cathedral – the Bóthar na Naomh Sunday Mass is now taking place at 10.00 a.m.

WEEKDAY MASSES: 

CATHEDRAL:   MONDAY – SATURDAY: 11.00 A.M. & MONDAY, WEDNESDAY &       FRIDAY: 7.00 P.M.

BÓTHAR NA NAOMH CHURCH:  TUESDAY & THURSDAY: 7.00 P.M.

Please note for all Masses:

Following the latest Government Covid Guidelines Churches are now allowed  half  of their maximum seating capacity for Religious Ceremonies. We ask you to please sit in alternate pews (every second pew) in the Cathedral and Bóthar na Naomh Church.

The Cathedral is open for private prayer after 11.00 a.m. Mass until 5.00 p.m. each day.  Bóthar na Naomh Church is open for private prayer from 9.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. each day except on Sundays when it will remain open after 10.00 a.m. Mass until 2.00 p.m.  Pallottine College Chapel is open for Mass at 10.00 a.m. each day.   The capacity for Pallottine College Chapel is 50 people.

  • Funerals:  Funeral Masses now take place in both the Cathedral & Bóthar na Naomh Church.  For the sake of the great majority trying to keep to the public health guidelines, we ask people, difficult as it is, not to approach the bereaved in the church grounds or cemetery to sympathize.
  • Baptisms: Baptisms may be booked through the Parish Centre. 20 people may attend each Baptism.
  • Confessions will resume on Saturday, October 23rd, 2.30 – 3.30 p.m., Cathedral.
  • Wearing Of Face Coverings is compulsory when visiting the Cathedral or Bóthar na Naomh Church. (It is understood that for medical reasons some people may not be able to comply with this request.)
