On this Sunday February 8th 2015 we celebrate the Installation of our new Archbishop, Kieran. We welcome him, his family, his religious congregation, the Society of African Missions, representatives of Killaloe diocese where he has served as bishop since 2010 as well as the people and priests of our own Cashel & Emly archdiocese.
In order to ensure the accommodation of all of the above, the ceremony has required the allocation of seats by tickets issued by our Diocesan Office. All those attending the ceremony must be seated by 2.30 p.m.
In order to facilitate all who would like to be part of the Installation Ceremony it will be broadcast on Tipp Mid-West and via our local parish link (106.4FM). Also, the ceremony will be streamed live on the diocesan website, www.cashel-emly.ie.
Parking on the day will be available in the Munster Hotel carpark and in the grounds of the Presentation Primary school. The Cathedral Courtyard and the grounds of St. Patrick’s College will be closed to parking after the 10.30am Sunday Mass. In this regard, we ask for the cooperation of those attending the 12 noon Sunday Mass and as spaces will be reserved on Cathedral St. for Disabled Parking after this Mass from 12.45pm.
Finally, Thurles Parish is hosting the gathering after the ceremony in St. Patrick’s College. With thanks to all those who have been of tremendous help in the preparations for the Installation Ceremony.
